immuno-art is an action to support research at the Netherlands Cancer Institute into immunotreatment of cancer patients.
immuno-art is art from science, based on microscopic images of studies into the human immune system.
Central to immuno-art are the immune cells that occur everywhere in the body
Products and Tools:
Immuno-Art specializes in gradient media like Nycodenz, used for the separation and purification of biological materials. These media are essential for biomedical research, enabling effective isolation and analysis of cells and biomolecules.
They also focus on products such as Plant Preservative Mixture (PPM) for use in tissue culture to prevent microbial contamination
Educational and Informative Content:
The site offers blogs and articles covering a range of topics like molecular workstations, ELISA types, and innovations in density gradient media, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical insights for researchers
They host events and courses to educate and engage with the scientific community
Shop and Support:
Immuno-Art includes an online shop featuring laboratory reagents, tools, and equipment tailored for research needs. They also provide customer support and consultation services to help optimize research setups
Networking and Collaboration:
Through their blogs and success stories section, the site connects researchers, sharing breakthroughs and experiences that highlight practical applications of their products and technologies
Goal
The immuno-art campaign raises money to support research into immunotherapy for cancer patients.
The treatment is aimed at strengthening the patient's immune system. The patient's own, strengthened immune system can help to fight the tumor. A lot of money is needed to develop these therapies.
The proceeds from the immuno-art campaign will contribute to funding research into these promising new treatments.
The works of art
immuno-art shows the microscopic and at the same time artistic photographs from scientific studies by
Florry Vyth-Dreese.
There are three collections:
In immuno-art the fluorescent colours of the original photographs form the basis for colourful, abstract, modern works of art.
IMMUNO-ARTiFACTS is a new collection of artworks based on immuno-art but with its own dimension in form and color.
Both collections are made of aluminium and equipped with a hanging system.
immuno-fashion shawls are long shawls (30 cm wide, various lengths) with immuno-prints on silk impression rayon or chiffon.
